Bandvest is a platform which enables fans to support artists and their creative projects, and also work to earn money if the artist succeeds by promoting content. Creative projects can be unpredictable at times, as is the commercial success of a musician or band. While it is rare, artists may at times have a difficult time delivering the rewards they have promised due to the nature of creative projects. Artists have an obligation to find a way to “make it right.” The process of delivering rewards and working out alternatives when delivery is suboptimal is entirely negotiated between the project backer, and the artist. Bandvest is a technology platform which enables creative projects to launch. We are not a party to this arrangement, but merely provide technology to enable this relationship. Furthermore, music can be a profitable endeavor for highly successful artists, but also a large number of artists never reach a point of profitability. Since street team members are paid commissions based on artists’ financial success, you should not view Bandvest as a full time job, or a predictable means to earn money by promoting artists, as many artists will not ever generate enough revenue to initiate commissions to the street team even when all parties are contributing with significant effort. Bandvest is a platform which enables fans to potentially earn commissions for sharing their favorite artists’ content. It is our intention to encourage project backers to do more of what they already do, share their favorite music with friends, with the chance of being paid if the artist succeeds and the backers is working hard to promote the artist. This is not unlike the experience of many people working in the music industry. Success in the music business is unpredictable, and many managers, producers, artists, and other professionals experience significant ups and downs, often working enumerable hours without necessarily experiencing financial reward. By going into business with your favorite artist, you too are entering this unpredictable landscape, and Bandvest suggests you consider both the risks and possible rewards of engaging with the platform carefully before you start your work as a street team member.
